Role Purpose
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for shaping and executing our external communication strategy across investors, shareholders, media, industry groups, as well as business and wholesale customers. This role will lead proactive capital markets engagement, develop compelling corporate messaging, support executive leadership communications, and strengthen the company’s brand and reputation in the Australian and global marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
Investor Relations
Lead and manage all investor relations activities, including earnings announcements, investor presentations, annual reports, and ASX market disclosures, working with external support agencies as required.
Act as the primary point of contact for institutional and retail investors, analysts, brokers, and financial media.
Develop, refine, and maintain the corporate narrative, ensuring clear, consistent, and compliant messaging across all channels and stakeholder groups.
Prepare ASX releases and investor communications in collaboration with executive leadership and legal counsel as required.
Manage communication strategies related to capital markets activities, including but not limited to fundraising, M&A, and corporate strategic initiatives.
Oversee the development of media engagement strategies and build strong relationships with key financial and industry reporters and publications.
Develop executive speechwriting for external Q&A briefs, and messaging frameworks for CEO and board communications.
Coordinate the production of the Company’s annual report.
External Communications
Lead the development and execution of the company’s external communications strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and company’s brand positioning and reputation.
Oversee public relations activities and external communications, ensuring consistent messaging across all external channels
Provide communication leadership for required reporting such as Modern Slavery Reporting and ESG reporting.
Lead strategic communications activities, including narrative development, issues management, and crisis communications, ensuring consistent messaging across channels.
Lead and direct external agencies to develop PR strategies and activity aligned to Company goals, and foster strong relationships with media, industry, and other key external stakeholders.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, industry groups and the wider community
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Finance, Business, Public Relations, a related field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in investor relations, corporate communications, capital markets, or a related function, ideally within ASX 200–listed companies or financial markets.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, capital markets, and investor expectations.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial and strategic concepts for diverse audiences.
Proven ability to influence stakeholders and manage executive-level communication priorities.
Demonstrated experience in media relations, public speaking, and crisis communications.
Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate market reactions and stakeholder needs.
Strong knowledge of corporate governance and ASX continuous disclosure requirements.
High level of integrity, discretion, and professional judgment.
Ability to work independently, lead cross-functional collaboration, and deliver under time-sensitive conditions.
Comfortable operating in an evolving, fast-paced growth environment.
