Business Unit Overview
We recognise that our people are our greatest asset. Our People & Culture (P&C) Team supports leaders to effectively lead people and performance in order to deliver business strategy and objectives. Encompassing all stages of the employment lifecycle, P&C seeks to understand business priorities to strengthen the organisation’s approach to recruitment, compensation, learning and development, performance, employee engagement and employment law practices.
Role Purpose
The People & Culture Partner is responsible for partnering with key business leaders to provide strategic and operational advice, while supporting employees and management across the business. This role includes day-to-day HR activities such as employee relations, performance management, training, recruitment and general HR advice. The People & Culture Partner will proactively identify HR requirements within their client groups and work collaboratively with the Group Head of People & Culture and other members of the P&C team to develop and implement HR initiatives and build capability across the function.
Key Responsibilities
Provide HR generalist support combined with subject matter expertise in Employee Engagement and Learning and Development.
Lead the Employee Engagement strategy at Group, Business Unit and location levels, including designing and delivering initiatives with stakeholders and managing the annual engagement survey to continually increase participation and engagement scores.
Design and lead the continuation of the People Leadership development journey.
Confidently and proactively provide expert HR advice to employees and leaders on a broad range of matters, including salary benchmarking, employee relations and engagement activities.
Advise and coach leaders on employment-related matters in accordance with legislation, HR policies and procedures, and relevant industrial instruments.
Facilitate performance management and grievance processes in line with company policy and legislative requirements.
Remain up to date with employment legislation and HR/IR industry trends.
Manage P&C contract negotiation and vendor relationships with HR system providers in partnership with key stakeholders, including Procurement (e.g. Seek, LinkedIn, GO1).
Lead and support a range of HR projects and undertake other duties as directed.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Behavioural Science, Law or a related field.
7 - 10 years’ experience as a HR Business Partner in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Telco and/or Tech sector experience preferred but not essential.
Strong technical expertise in Employee Engagement and Learning and Development.
Proven experience delivering successful employee engagement strategies and L&D initiatives, particularly in people leadership.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong influencing and relationship-building skills, with the ability to adapt communication style for various audiences.
Proactive and collaborative business partnering approach, with strong commercial acumen and agile problem-solving skills.
Experience using Culture Amp and intelliHR (desirable)
